Giveaway: Loving the Little Years: Motherhood in the Trenches
Twice a year Homeschool Creations hosts a Curriculum Clean-Out event and we have a couple resources that we aren't currently using. Here is our second giveaway!
As a mom to 2 little ones, Loving the Little Years: Motherhood in the Trenches by Rachel Jankovic is a refreshing book to read. Rachel Jankovic wrote this while a mother of three little ones and can certainly empathize with the daily struggles we moms have. This is a small collection (20 short chapters) of thoughts on mothering young children. Rachel is encouraging, but honest as she wrestles with the role of motherhood. I found this book incredible insightful and encouraging, and I would love to bless someone else with it. Check out the link above to peek inside the book and read all the glowing recommendations. You don't want to miss this one!
How to Enter: Simply leave a comment telling me what you like about the little years-- we all could use an encouraging perspective! Please include your email address so I can contact the winner.

And I also "liked" you on Facebook... I can't believe I just now came across your blog after months of surfing at Homeschool Creations & Confessions of a Homeschooler!
I would love to win this book! I have heard lots of positives about it throught the web! Thank you for the chance!
The thing I love most about the little years is their excitement over everything! From playing in a cardboard box, to watching the raindrops slide down the windowpane, they find excitement in it all. I wish to live more like that!
I love the wonder and excitement of new discoveries through little eyes... like the thrill of finding a squishy slug in the yard or tasting ice cream or sleeping outside on the ground. And this book has been on my list! colleen.wachob@gmail.com
I love to watch my little girl's eyes light up as she learns something new or when something new finally "clicks"! Thanks for the giveaway. summer@http://icouponjesussaves. blogspot.com summerleighwilliams (at) yahoo (dot) com
I love to see when they notice something new that they've never noticed before. And when they see "dogs" in the clouds. Nikole qponsaver at gmail dot com
This looks like a wonderfully inspiring read. I so enjoy my little ones curiosity and energy, but sometimes need a little lift to keep up with them. Thx for chance
I've heard great things about this book (and I'll be back in the US this fall, so I could have it sent to me!). I don't always love the "why" question, but I love the curiousity in the little years. mjlundquist at gmail dot com
Thanks for the opportunity to win! I've heard such good reviews of this book!
Well, I'm thick into the little years, and I think what I like the most is how fun and innocent my kids are. These years are flying by so fast and I know I"ll miss them as the kids grow older.
I love the instant forgiveness that little ones give you when you mess up. I've learned a lot from my own little ones about how to forgive and love when others do wrong. :0)
I LOVE that a kiss still makes a boo-boo better and that Momma can make the world right just with a cuddle. I also love the rate at which they learn, wish I still could learn that quickly.
I love the quick pace they are learning at, and how much joy, wonder, excitement is found in all of these big "firsts." But sometimes, amid the tears and tantrums, I need a little help remembering what a blessing this time is! Thanks for the chance to win!
And last but not least, my favorite thing right now about these years is how easy it is to make them laugh and how it makes everything seem so much better when something gets them really laughing. I have a 5 year old girl and boy/girl twins who are 22 months.
I think I'm still in the trenches lol. I'm homeschooling grades : K, 2, 5 and 7 along with having a 3 year old and a 21 month old running around. I would love to win this for the encouragement it seems to offer. :)
I love watching them conquer new skills each day and how proud they are of themselves when they show off what they've learned! tolsmamm at juno dot com

ReplyDeleteWhat I like about the little years is all the "firsts" you get to be a part of. The first steps, first train ride, first birthday cake, etc!
Thanks
